Being able to visit Blue Lagoon beach, I now understand the fuss over this once hidden beach located at the edge of Pagudpud. Coming down the swirling main road, we got an overview shot of how beautiful this cove really is. From afar, its turquoise waters and long white sand beach already sends delight to the lenses of our cameras that we can't help but click away.
Walking on Pagudpud's un-cemented boardwalk, you'd feel like you're in Boracay 10 years ago. Small kubo kubo stores and eateries lined up along the beach with the most prominent structure right at its center -- Hannah's beach resort and Convention center. Seeing the difference of how it looks like before from early blogs I've read a couple of years back, it will not surprise me if it will catch the "Boracay-hype" soon.
One thing's for sure though, Pagudpud is definitely a surfer's paradise up North. We caught some surfers riding their boards on those big waves. There are even kids who surf. So it's something that one must experience if ever in Ilocos Norte. Unfortunately for us, we were only here for a day tour so we weren't lucky enough to get a surfing lesson. I think I just have to stick at being a surf fan for now. ^_^
